Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how Most Overplayed works.
About the site
What is Most Overplayed?
Most Overplayed is a community site where you can explore songs, artists, and radio stations, search the catalog, and vote for tracks you think are overplayed. Votes feed into rankings and charts shown on the site—they reflect how people use the Service, not official industry airplay.
Are these official radio or record-chart rankings?
No. Rankings and scores are based on community participation and our rules for aggregating votes. They are not official airplay charts, Billboard positions, or endorsements from broadcasters, artists, or labels. See our Terms of Service for the full description of the Service.
Voting and accounts
How does voting work?
You can vote to mark a song as “overplayed” for the current calendar day. You can only cast one vote per song per day—whether you use the site as a guest or while signed in. Abuse, automation, or attempts to game the system are not allowed.
What’s the difference between guest and signed-in voting?
Guests can vote without an account, but only up to 3 votes per day total (across different songs). When you create a free account, you can vote beyond that guest daily cap, save favorites, and use the site consistently across devices. Signed-in users are still limited to one vote per song per calendar day.
Why was I asked to sign in while voting?
If you’ve used all guest votes for the day, or the site needs you to sign in for certain actions, you’ll see a prompt to create an account or sign in. Accounts are free. See the Privacy Policy for how account data is handled.
